We are passionate about keeping the time-honoured medical practise of herbal medicine alive by bringing together traditional methods with modern understanding from scientific research. We are also passionate about helping to empower you to connect with your body and take care of your own health. We have therefore developed a range of talks and workshops that we hope will help inspire you.
Introduction to Botanical Medicine
1 hr plus Q & A / suitable for all ages
This talk explores the history and modern application of herbal medicine. It includes practical plant identification, discussion of the plants’ therapeutic qualities and tea-tasting.
Brunch & Supper Talks
Every other week / suitable for people aged 16+
Join us for delicious home cooked food, discussion and inspiration (either for brunch or supper) as we tell you how different foods are good for different systems of your body. Before each club we go on a voluntary, gentle 30 minute jog – just to get your appetite going and support you in getting and staying fit.
My Body, Myself: Female Health Talk for Teenage Girls
1hr plus Q & A / suitable for girls aged 13 – 15 years
Period pain and premenstrual syndrome is the main reason given by teenage girls for missing school. This talk explores how each teenage girl may experience their menstrual cycle differently – including period pain, heavy periods, irregular cycles and premenstrual syndrome – and some self-help strategies (including diet, massage, exercise) to keep girls healthy.

My Body, Myself for Teenage Girls

Girls get to make a self-massage bar and pillow spray from natural ingredients and find out about self-help strategies for period pain and premenstrual syndrome.
Herbology & Medicine Making for Children
Wednesday 26 July – SPACES AVAILABLE 2.30pm – 4.30pm
A hands-on workshop where children get to make their own bites & stings balm, lip balm or muscle salve and discover close-up how to identify plants in the mint, daisy, parsley and rose families.
TERM TIME WORKSHOPS
Herbology & Medicine Making Workshop for Schools
Key Stage 1 & 2
1.5hrs / £150 for up to 31 children (discounts available for multiple bookings)
This workshop is designed to support the Key Stage 1 & 2 science curriculum. It can be tailored to your school’s requirements but includes plant identification, parts of a plant and flower labelling, and medicine making using plants where the children get to take home a pot of their own self-made medicine.
Herbology & Medicine Making Workshop for Homeschool Children
Ages 5 – 11 years
1.5hrs / £10 per child / group bookings of 15 – 20 children only
This workshop provides an introduction to botanical medicine and medicine making for homeschool children. It includes plant identification, parts of a plant and flower labelling, and medicine making using plants where the children get to take home a pot of their own self-made medicine.
